Based in Devon, I specialise in traditional joinery and furniture-making, with an emphasis on relief woodcarving. From house signs to gift boxes and both outdoor and indoor furniture, I create bespoke objects to your specific needs.
About me
I have over ten years of experience creating beautiful bespoke wooden items for customers.
I trained in traditional woodcarving at Hjerleid Håndverksskolen in Norway, where traditional styles and techniques of Norwegian woodworking are still taught.
I also hold a City & Guilds diploma in Carpentry and Bench Joinery.
I’m always happy to take new commissions and to work with you to make exactly what you require.

Hi Jack, I love your creative work. I live in Sampford Courtenay and have a 16th Century cottage and had the idea of wooden blinds on the inside of each window. The walls are cob. The windows mainly have a secondary double glazing sliding glass piece inside of each one which is fixed to the walls which mean you can’t clean or paint the wooden windows! My idea was to replace them with simple wooden panelled blinds/shutters (a smaller version of what you may see in a Victorian home), perhaps with a simple design on each one e.g. butterfly, flower of life.
What would I need to do in order for you o provide me with a cost for these please? What wood options are there and what is the waiting time?
